As a mom of two boys, I know how important your family’s safety is and for all families in our community to feel safe and supported. Our Police work hard to protect us and that’s why investing in our police ensures they have the tools necessary to do their job well and keep our families safe.

• Our police deserve access to the best training possible

• Mental health support in and off the field will help them on difficult calls

• Provide departments with support to pursue accreditation

• Establish accountability mechanisms to weed out the bad apples that reflect poorly on the department and sow community distrust

• Encourage forging community partnerships 

• Protect police retirement pensions

• Mitigate danger in the field by passing common sense gun violence prevention measures such as extreme risk protection orders
